What is Project//: M?

It’s Forever and Always. I’ll go into further detail but if the title hooked you in, and don’t feel like reading the entire log, there’s the answer.

When I first started making Forever and Always on RPG Maker, I didn’t really have much skill when it came to pixel art, and when I found out plugins were a thing, I lost the spark for drawing, and just used it as a story telling medium. Eventually I felt like, because I didn’t use any of my own stuff, besides my own stories and A LOT of plugins, I lost sight of the vision I had, and hit a wall.

There were numerous other factors that led to me not working on the game anymore, both personal and otherwise. Ultimately, I just got burned out.

Earlier this year, I’ve started to get back into the mood of telling the story I wanted to tell. I sat down and asked myself: what IS the story about?

It’s a love story… as cringe as it sounds.

Forever and always was always a love story. Two people meeting and forming a bond through rather unusual ways. A bond that will show the player that love conquers all, no matter what, and that those two people will love each other, Forever and Always. That was the point, and I never made it abundantly clear that this was my original plan to you, the player.

…So what’s next?  Any Update on the actual game?

Right now, I’m working on the character art for the three of the five main characters, Tri Zaku, Sakura, and Akira. I had the idea to make the characters more accurate to what I envisioned while at work, rather than making a white-washed version of what I think they should look like. I will also start on concept art for the world itself, whenever the characters finish of course. From there I will start working on a playable  proof of concept so I can show everyone I mean serious business.

I think that’s all I have for right now. Thanks for reading if you got this far.
